Yeoman Warders, Tower of London

The primary role of the Yeoman Warders is to look after any prisoners held at the Tower of London and to safeguard the British Crown Jewels.

Formed in 1485, records in the archives go back to the 17th century and include pay books, regulations, accounts and pensions information, as well as general minutes of meetings.
