Practical site information for educational group leaders

Group leaders will be provided with a comprehensive visit information pack after we have confirmed receipt of your payment.

Practical details

Learning groups should access the main toilets in the Brick Tower, behind the Waterloo Block.

Disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are also situated here.

There are public toilets (50p per person) in the coach park adjacent to Tower Hill, behind the Welcome Centre.

Lunch and bags

Students are welcome to use any benches that are available around the visitor route.

There is limited lunchroom availability. They can be requested at time of booking but cannot be guaranteed. Priority will be given to KS1 classes. Please note the lunch room is inaccesible to wheelchairs or students with limited mobility. Please remember to dispose of your litter in one of the many bins provided around theTower.

Unfortunately, learning groups are not able to use the New Armouries Café. Please note also, that the tables and chairs near the Raven’s Tea House, close to the Raven Shop, are reserved for café customers only.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide cloakrooms at the Tower. The Tower is a busy site and we ask all learning visitors, including students and adult helpers, to keep their bags with them at all times.

We recommend that education groups use the Raven Shop when they are inside the Tower complex.

The Tower Shop - a larger shop situated outside the Tower complex offers a full range of merchandise for visitors of all ages.

The White Tower shop and Jewel House shop are not suitable for groups of more than 10 due to their limited size.

Smoking is not permitted in any part of the Tower of London.
