"It was a unique experience, it put us in the shoes of the archaeologist."

Student comment

In partnership with the University of Cambridge

This Study Day is particularly targeted at students doing Archaeology and/or History A Level. It is organised in partnership with the Division of Archaeology, University of Cambridge.

It is an exciting opportunity for students to learn about Archaeology's interrelations with History by tracing the changing functions and use of the Tower of London over a period of 1,000 years.

The day will include presentations from academics from the University of Cambridge and will provide a unique opportunity for students to critically examine the buildings, historic artefacts and documents. Students will be challenged to think about the significance of historic buildings in the context of heritage management, and in the light of primary source material.

The day will close with a debate on the significance of Archaeology, in which students will present their evolving ideas in a structured way.

Wednesday 13 April 2016
10.30am – 3.00pm

Attendance is free but booking is essential.
