These Dark Wings

These Dark Wings

Calling all budding authors, scriptwriters and actors...

Help create a performance piece for the Tower of London on a two day characterisation workshop.

What is it?

To celebrate the release of These Dark Wings, a trilogy of novels set in the atmospheric backdrop of the Tower of London during the Blitz, we are hosting a two day characterisation workshop.

The session will be run by professional actors and scriptwriters, featuring the book's author John Owen Theobald, and will explore how to bring a character to life.

Your work will feed into the creation of characters at the Tower of London and will be performed by professionals during special half term activities.

What’s in it for me?

You will get to:

  • Spend time with professionals in their field, learning about their creative process and career path.
  • Understand how to create believable characters, on and off the page.
  • Contribute to a performance piece for visitors at the Tower of London.
  • Showcase your work at an exclusive after-hours performance at the Tower of London.

Who is it for?

16-18 year olds with a love of reading and a passion for creative writing or performance.

When is it?

Wednesday 26 October and Thursday 27 of October, during half-term week.

Day one will run from 10.30 to 16.00 and day two from 12.30 to 19.30.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

How much does it cost?

The workshops are free to attend.
