Life in the Medieval Palace

It's 1307, the aged King Edward I prepares for battle against Robert the Bruce. Will his son, Edward Prince of Wales and his friends be up for the fight?

Event takes place inside the Medieval Palace between 11.30 - 15.30



Knight School

11 - 19 February

Join the army of King Edward I as he prepares to invade Scotland, yet again!

Work the siege engines and learn skills to become a noble knight. Experience the thrill of seeing the pageantry and skill at arms as knights clash in friendly or perhaps not quite so friendly rivalry.

Event takes place in the Moat or in the event of adverse weather inside the Medieval Palace, 11.00 - 15.30.


The Crown Restored

6 - 9 April

Join Charles II, the Merry Monarch, as he prepares for his coronation by visiting the Tower to see his new Crown Jewels. The Monarchy is restored, the good times roll and its Party! Party! Party!

But not everyone is happy with the new turn of events. Will the King honour his promises or must the former supporters of Parliament now fear for their lives?

Colonel Blood and the Great Crown Jewels robbery

10 -15 April

1671 and the New Crown Jewels are safely installed in the Tower of London. Safely?

Join the notorious Colonel Blood and the rest of his gang of desperados as they attempt the most audacious heist of all time!

Plus daily live interpretation throughout the year.
