This fantastic CPD opportunity is suitable for all Primary teachers and literacy coordinators wishing to find out more about how heritage sites can support literacy teaching.
Run jointly by Historic Royal Palaces and the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE), this event will explore spoken language, drama and performance, writing composition, exploration and analysis of different written forms and much more. Teachers will experience how key aspects of the English curriculum are taught through the sessions offered at Hampton Court. They will explore how the session experience can be built on in the classroom before and after a visit. Teachers will also have the opportunity to generate ideas and develop skills in using the historic environment to inspire engagement with literacy.
