Historic Royal Palaces Access Fund

Enabling free school visits

Enabling free school visits

The Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) Access Fund was launched in April 2017. It provides opportunities for schools which might otherwise not be able to afford the cost of a visit, to offer their students memorable and high quality learning experiences at some of the greatest palaces ever built.

Since launching it has enabled over 90 schools and 6,000 students to visit the iconic sites of Hampton Court Palace and the Tower of London for free.

Visits from KS 1 - 3 students and Special School students are supported and the fund covers the cost of general admission as well as a facilitated session for all.

All schools receiving a free visit from the Access Fund are asked to send the lead teacher to a familiarisation day at their chosen site, join our HRP Teacher Network and participate in structured evaluation activities during and after the visit.

The fund is currently closed for applications but will open again in Spring 2018 for visits during the 2018/2019 academic year.

If you have any queries regarding the fund, please email the fund administrator at accessfund@hrp.org.uk.
