Wednesday - Sunday: 10.00 to 16.00. Last Admission: 15.00.

There are temporary route closures in place around the palace. Please check our opening times page for all closures including palace closures before a visit. 

Tickets and prices

Explore Hampton Court Palace. Pre-booking is recommended and ticket prices are different for peak and off peak visits.

Dogs are not permitted within the palace, courtyards or gardens unless they are trained assistance dogs.

The Indian Army at Hampton Court Palace in 1919

In late July 1919, a contingent of nearly 1800 troops from the Indian Army, including their British and Indian officers, marched through the palace gates and onto Home Park, where they camped for the next two months.

The ceiling paintings by Sir Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) were installed in 1636 and were most likely commissioned by King Charles I in 1629-30.
