For the Victorians and Edwardians, Christmas ghost stories were an essential tradition of the festive season.
Christmas is a time of cosy, festive merriment and celebration but there has, for many generations, been a strong desire to explore something altogether darker and spine-tingling at this time of year.
Join us in the Queen's Presence Chamber to hear ghost tales told by our past grace-and-favour residents that will chill your spine, and raise the hairs on the back of your neck!
These stories are not for the faint-hearted!
Please be aware that we are telling traditional ghost stories, based upon those from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, and they may not be suitable for anyone of a nervous disposition, or for families with children under the age of 12.
