Step inside the Little Banqueting House with one of our expert Guide Lecturers, Siobhan Clarke and enter the early 18th-century world of William III.
The LBH was a haven for the King and his close friends in the Gardens, with views of the river and all-around grandeur. Here, bewigged and richly-dressed male courtiers relaxed, amid Antonia Verrio’s paintings depicting the amorous adventures of the gods.
Discover the history of the building and its art, including a look downstairs (not open to the public) and venture into the private garden which once housed the King’s aviary of exotic birds. Once a grace and favour apartment, today the LBH is an enchanting venue for weddings.
