To book, please download a booking form and send your completed form to booking.confirmations@hrp.org.uk.

Separate ticket (advanced booking required)

If you find walking difficult, you may like to book one of our powered We-Go wheelchair tours to explore the two miles of historic halls, galleries and corridors at Hampton Court Palace, plus our famous palace gardens.

Tours are led by expert volunteer guides, who will operate the battery-assisted wheelchair as you enjoy your visit.

We have two We-Gos and five two-hour tours to choose from:

  • The Tudor Palace
  • The Baroque Palace
  • The Courtyards
  • The Court of Henry VIII
  • The Art Galleries

Important information

Please specify your chosen tour and the time you want it to begin when you book. You can book one tour in the morning and another in the afternoon – in which case the cost will be £10.00 (2 tours x £5 per wheelchair) – or one tour, perhaps returning at a later date for a second one.

We-Go tours must be pre-booked a few weeks in advance. Payment will only be taken for hiring the We-Go once the volunteer guides have been booked – there is nothing to pay until we have confirmed availability.

We recommend that morning tours begin at 10:30 and that afternoon tours begin at 13:00. If you would like your morning or afternoon tour to start at a different time, please specify at the time of booking. We recommend you give at least an hour between the end of one tour and the start of the next to give yourself a good rest over the lunch break.

Our volunteers will meet the party with the powered wheelchair at the Ticket Office unless different arrangements are made at the time of booking.

The Great Hall, looking east.
The hall was constructed by King Henry VIII to replace a smaller and older hall on the same site. It had two functions. First to provide a great communal dining room where 600 members of the court could eat in two sittings, twice a day. And secondly, to provide a magnificent entrance to the state apartments that lay beyond.
