Grow your own all summer long
The food from the recreated kitchen gardens at Hampton Court Palace once fed the Georgian royals and now supplies Henry VIII's Kitchens. Few records survive of the original garden, but the layout of the beds can be discerned from contemporary paintings and engravings; as far as possible we have chosen historically accurate fruit and vegetable crops.
In July Historic Royal Palaces members are invited to learn how to grow your own vegetables. A kitchen gardener will guide you on how to accomplish successional sowings of crops to ensure harvests last all summer long and give you a tour to share their knowledge of key seasonal tasks in a kitchen garden.
Enjoy a regal afternoon tea with our Royal Victoria blue tea cup and saucer set. Available exclusively from Historic Royal Palaces, the design is inspired by one of Victoria's most iconic crowns and by the pattern found on her wedding dress.
