Hampton Court Palace
Take advantage of a rare opportunity to go behind-the-scenes at Hampton Court Palace, on this 60 minute members-only tour. After the royal family left in 1737, the palace became home to Grace and Favour residents, who had served Crown and country.
Over several centuries, they lived with their servants in a labyrinth of apartments within the palace, which still exist today, hidden from sight. Bell-pulls and name-plates, next to private doorways, hint at these historic rooms. Led by expert guides, Siobhan Clarke and Sarah Slater, this is a chance to visit apartments not open to the public and hear fascinating tales of this intriguing and unique community.
Please note that the tour includes apartments that are accessed by a large number of steep stairs and in some cases, small walkways. Closed toe, flat footwear must be worn. Please contact us with any accessibility concerns prior to booking.
