Discover the lives of women from Hillsborough Castle's past

Enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea while Senior Curator, Dr Christopher Warleigh-Lack, takes you on a journey through the fascinating lives of some of the women who have lived and worked at Hillsborough Castle.

From Lady Salisbury, the renowned society hostess with great political influence, Lady Alice Hill the Victorian debutant and celebrated composer Lady Annie Hill, right up until more recent figures such as Mo Mowlam and Lady Wakehurst.

The talk will shine a light on the lives of these compelling women of Hillsborough while also exploring the women that cared for them.

This event will take place in the Marketroom, inside the Courthouse.

A guide shows a group of visitors the Throne Room in the State Rooms at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens. Two red and gold thrones sit at one end of the room and the walls are lined with green silk damask and the walls are lined with historical artwork.
