Ghost Tours at Hampton Court Palace

3 October 2016

Uncover the mystery and history of over 500 years of spine-tingling stories in a lamplight led tour of the palace after dark.

As the dark nights approach this winter, prepare yourself for a night of nail-biting ghost stories from the haunted history of Hampton Court Palace, with an exclusive after-hours Ghost Tour. Discover the palace’s spectacular interiors after dark, long after all of the visitors have gone, as you hear the spine-chilling stories of Hampton Court’s supernatural past.

Kicking off this Halloween and running throughout the winter season, join a tour and enjoy a ghostly gallivant around the empty courtyards and corridors of Hampton Court Palace. Be ready to hear terrifying tales- spanning over five centuries- as the State Apartment Warders reveal the palaces’ longest kept secrets.

Watch out for the ‘Grey Lady’, the spirit of the Tudor royal nurse of Hampton Court Palace, who is said to haunt her former apartments longing to hold a baby again. Immerse yourself in the palace’s eerie mysteries as you hear about the enigmatic ‘Skeletor’, who was seen on CCTV in 2003, and see the very spot where he appeared.

This Halloween, for one night only, Hampton Court Palace will hold an exclusive late night tour that will take you further into the deepest and darkest secrets of the palace. From the spot where two bodies were discovered in shallow graves in the 1870s to the haunted realm of former Grace and Favour apartments, where will you find yourself when midnight approaches?

On selected dates following Halloween, the palace will also offer a number of family ghost tours, giving a chance to experience a taste of the spine-tingling fun of the adult tours, but with the whole family in mind.

For tales of grisly ghouls and a fright in the night, head over to Hampton Court after dark-if you dare…
