For 600 years, the animals of the Royal Menagerie brought majesty, curiosity, danger and awe to the Tower of London.  By 1832 they were gone – sent off to the brand new London Zoological Gardens in Regent’s Park.

During October half term, families can bring the animals back to the Tower as they reanimate history!

  • Follow a trail and draw the animals you spot around the Tower.
  • Bring the animals right off the page at our drop-in puppet making station.
  • Come and listen to ‘Animal Tales’, stories from the Menagerie (drop-in).
