About this session

A-Level | Subject: History | Topics: Elizabethans, Tudors | Session Type: Study Day Partnership

As a princess, Elizabeth was sent to the Tower of London by her half-sister, Queen Mary I. In 1559, Elizabeth returned under very different circumstances for her coronation.

Students will examine the Tower buildings and documentary evidence in order to reflect on how the Tower of London can be used to support their understanding of the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.

The workshop includes a short lecture and a subject specific tour of the Tower of London.
