Key Stage 2 | Subject: History | Topics: Medieval | Session Type: Digital Mission
It's 1290 and King Edward I is coming back to the Tower with his beloved wife Queen Eleanor. Their servant Lady Margery needs your help to prepare for their imminent arrival.
In this session, children will explore the Medieval Palace using tablets featuring our Time Explorers app. There are challenges and a quiz to complete on the way. But they will need to hurry - if King Edward arrives before the Tower is ready, Lady Margery might find herself out of a job… or worse!

About Digital Missions
Digital missions are character-led adventures that encourage children to navigate and observe the Tower spaces while solving challenges on a tablet. They are a self-led resource to support classes to explore the Tower independently.
Children are encouraged to use the palace as a primary source to weigh historical evidence. Working as part of a team, they will develop their perspective and judgement by exploring particular palace spaces in more detail.
Please note that this session is only partly facilitated. Groups will be given instructions at the start of the session and issued with one tablet between two or three children. The mission is designed to be self-led and supervised by group leaders.
