John Gerard’s Escape

About this session

SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) | Subject: History | Topic: Tudors | Session Type: Object-Handling

Why was John Gerard imprisoned in the Tower? What was life like for Catholic priests in Elizabethan times? How did he pull off such a daring feat?

This multi-sensory classroom-based storytelling session enables pupils to find out about this astounding but little-known event and provides a new environment in which to develop their social and emotional skills.

This session is suitable for pupils with MLD and SLD, aged between 6 and 16 years, who attend special schools or units.

You will also have the opportunity to make a request for the presenter to be in costume, should this be appropriate.
