Superbloom Communities Project FAQs

Community groups that are part of Historic Royal Palace’s Community Access Scheme are eligible to take part.

The specially created seed mix and online resources that we provide are free, but there may be set up costs if your group doesn’t have gardening equipment such as compost, sand, watering cans, etc.

Seed packs will be posted to you from February 2022 onwards which will be great timing for getting your seeds planted in the ground.

No gardening experience is required! We will be providing information and resources to support you and your group in creating and growing your mini-superbloom. A willingness to dig in and get a bit dirty when it comes time to plant your seeds would be helpful though.

Get that soil prepped and ready for sowing from February 2022 and make sure your seeds are in the ground by March 2022. For optimal flower growth, add water and sunshine!

Check out our range of online resources to help you get on your way. Then get your group to roll up their sleeves and dig in.

Yes, groups that are part of the Community Access Scheme will be able to have a free visit between May – September 2022

Absolutely, it’s important to us that as many groups in our Community Access Scheme network take part as possible. If you have a green space or just a windowsill, everyone is welcome. If you don’t use the seeds, feel free to give them away to your service members to utilise in their own homes.

The approximate coverage for the 12 pack will be 72 square feet. You can use as much or as little as the seed packet as you wish.

Unfortunately we can only offer one pack per group. But feel free to add more seeds or plants to expand your garden.

We're creating our special seed palette and will share details of the exact mix soon. Below is an indicative list of flower varieties that could feature.
