Budding knights can travel back in time to the Wars of the Roses this May half term for a chance to experience life as a medieval warrior at London’s most fearsome fortress, the Tower of London. Join the forces of Margaret of Anjou in a plot to free her husband Henry VI, imprisoned in the Tower in 1471, in this fun-filled performance of Knight School: The Show.
Set in the legendary open-air moat, enjoy a 30 minute fun-filled performance, offering the chance to uncover daring deeds, chivalrous conduct and superb swordplay. Find out what it takes to become a true knight from the comfort of your own socially-distanced area on the lawn, with performances delivered in the round to ensure everyone has a great view of the action.
After the performance, head inside the Tower of London itself to uncover the fascinating history for yourselves.
Unlike our previous Knight School events, this is a performance-only experience. Family bubbles will be designated socially-distanced spaces to watch from and all performances will take place outside in the Tower moat.
The performance will take place in a step-free location.
Please note that audience members will be seated on grass and the surface may be uneven.
Knight School: The Show is a co-production between Historic Royal Palaces and History Riot.
