Family visits at Kensington Palace

There's lots for families to see and do together at Kensington Palace, as well as enjoying our family-friendly café and our family shop - and best of all kids go free!

The Palace is a work of Art! Family trail 

Wednesday 1 – Friday 31 October

Come and take part in a brand new family activity trail launched as part of this year's Big Draw festival. Explore the palace's fantastic artwork through the eyes of Robert, assistant to the famous artist William Kent.

Recommended for children aged 5 -11.

Family trails may be obtained from the ticket desk at White Court.


 The King’s table - autumn half term activities

Saturday 25 October- Saturday 1 November, 11.00 - 16.00 daily.

Hear tales from King George II's dining table told by the head cook and discover the truth about what the Georgians ate for dinner. There will also be free drop in activities taking place throughout half term including games, craft activities at storytelling.

Recommended for children aged 5 -11, the perfect way to entertain the kids this half term. Free with admission ticket.  Look for signs in the palace.


Christmas with the King – family workshop

Saturday 6 December, 10.30 - 13.00

Join us to discover how the Georgians celebrated Christmas through music, drama, storytelling and taste testing workshops. Be the first to wish the King George II a Merry Christmas!

This workshop is designed to cater for everyone in the family – adults and children learn together! It is particularly suited to families with children aged between 7 and 11 years, however we welcome children and adults of all ages.

£20 per child for a workshop only ticket.
£1 per adult for a workshop only ticket.

Up to two adults per child can participate in the workshop. Adults should ensure that they accompany their children at all times and that children are not left unattended. Family groups of any size are welcome however we do not allow adults or children to attend on their own.

Lunch and drinks will not be provided. Participants may bring their own packed lunch to eat in the Clore Education Centre. Alternatively, the Café in Kensington Palace serves hot and cold snacks and drinks

Please note: Workshops are held in Clore Education Centre and don’t include general admission to the Palace. If visitors wish to visit the Palace separate ticket must be purchased.
