The Duke Tour takes you on a historical journey where you will hear some of Kensington’s untold stories and visit rooms in the State Apartments that are not normally open to the public.
Discover the history of the rooms once lived in by Edward Duke of Kent, his daughter Queen Victoria and many other royals. Explore the rooms once occupied by Upper Servants and Princess Margaret’s Housekeeper.
Visit the old State Bedchamber used by successive monarchs and which saw the death of Queen Anne and the birth of Queen Mary, consort to George V.
Stand where Victoria became queen and step inside Queen Anne’s Dressing Room.
Important information
There is a maximum of 6 people per tour.
Photography is allowed in some areas, but not others. Your Guide will instruct you on this throughout the tour. No filming is permitted throughout.
Tickets are pre-booked, and online only.
Unfortunately, this tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with accessibility needs, because the tour involves climbing steep staircases and no seating is available.
