Members' Henry VIII's Joust Competition

Take your place on the scoreboard with your family for a front-row view of the action during one of the 45-minute performances. Present your favour to the team of your choice and then meet the king after the show. Snap some photos to remember the momentous occasion.

1) We want to see your heraldic shields! Unleash your creativity and design your own using our template. 

2) Once you’ve created your shield, ask an adult to scan or take a clear photograph of your design. 

3) Send it to us at [email protected] with your full name and age, along with your parent or guardian’s membership number or ID, as well as anything you’d like to tell us about your design. Please make sure you have your parent or guardian’s permission to enter.

🛡️Entries will be judged on creativity, use of colour and how well your design represents you. 

🛡️The picture(s) on your shield can be anything you like. It could be something from your life that represents you – heraldry is about showing people who you are. Many knights used animals as ‘charges’. Take a look at the Hampton Court Beasts for inspiration.
