Historic Royal Palaces is an independent charity. We receive no government or crown funding and depend entirely on your support. Please consider adding a donation when you buy your ticket.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer and choose to give a donation when buying your ticket, please look out for the Gift Aid logo and tick the box to Gift Aid your donation when completing your online purchase. This means we can claim back an additional 25% of the value of your ticket at no extra cost to you.

How to get tickets you've bought online

Please note that you must present a physical ticket at the gate, as our ticket scanners are unable to scan mobile phone screens.

There are three ways to do this:

Print your tickets at home

  1. Click the link in the email that we’ll send you and print out all your tickets.
  2. Bring your printed tickets to the Tower of London entrance gate.

Collect from the group ticket office

  1. We'll email you your booking reference number.
  2. Bring this number and the credit/debit card you used to the group ticket office.
  3. A member of staff will print your tickets for you.

By post

If you buy your tickets online seven days in advance (UK) or 10 days in advance (overseas visitors), we can post your tickets to you.

Other ways to buy tickets

In person on the day

Tickets can be purchased on the day from the Tower of London ticket office, but you'll miss out on the 15% online discount. If you are using a third party promotion or special offer, please bring your voucher or offer leaflet with you to the ticket office. Separate terms and conditions apply.

Phone bookings incur a £2.00 booking fee per transaction. There's no booking fee when buying online or in person.

Reduced entry scheme for Tower Hamlets residents

Local residents within the borough of Tower Hamlets who have either an Idea Store card or Tower Hamlets library card can visit the Tower of London for only £1.00. This offer is possible because of an agreement with Tower Hamlets Council. 

The offer is valid all year round. Only one ticket per adult card holder can be purchased per day. Adults can purchase additional tickets for additional children for £1.00. Children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Tickets are only valid on the day of purchase and cannot be pre-booked or purchased in advance. 

Adults should bring their proof of address and Idea Store or library card with them to the ticket office.
