Henry VIII's Joust

Knights clash, fun reigns

Knights clash, fun reigns

Witness a spectacle of epic proportions as Henry VIII’s Joust returns to Hampton Court Palace this July.

For two weekends only, experience jousting at the spectacular home of Henry VIII. Be dazzled by daredevil tricks performed on horseback, then pick your favourite knight and cheer, jeer and follow all the fun of an epic face-off until one knight reigns supreme. Look closely and you may even see the King himself taking part!

Alongside the excitement of the joust, see breathtaking falconry displays and learn about these majestic animals.

Further Information

The Joust and falconry displays take place in the gardens at Hampton Court Palace. All performances are open-air and seated directly on grass. This is an outdoor event so make sure to dress appropriately for the weather on the day. In the event of wet weather, adjustments will be made to the joust and falconry displays to protect the safety of the animals.

Please note that umbrellas and folding chairs are prohibited at the event site as they may restrict the view for other guests.

The Jousting event…was such a joy to watch, real entertainment.

My favourite memory was coming to the jousting and seeing the birds of prey with my children… it was a magical day and will stay in my memory for a long time.
