Offering exceptional flexibility for both daytime and evening events, the Garden Room is one of Hampton Court Palace's most versatile venues. Accommodating up to 300 guests, this elegant 1920s-style orangery is ideal for corporate away days, team-building events, networking receptions, private dining, weddings, summer parties and evening celebrations.

Opening onto a spacious private walled garden, the venue provides a unique indoor-outdoor setting where guests can enjoy BBQs, lawn games, drinks receptions and al fresco entertaining in complete privacy. The Garden Room offers a distinctive and adaptable space that combines historic character with modern event flexibility.

The Garden Room can be seamlessly combined with the Palace Gardens and State Apartments, allowing guests to experience the very best that the Palace has to offer.

Perfect for exclusive daytime events, meetings and drinks receptions, the Garden Room offers a contemporary and elegant setting, with the opportunity to continue your event within the Palace itself. Guests can enjoy an exceptional evening dining experience in either the historic Great Hall or one of our other dining spaces.

Couples have the unique opportunity to be guided through the State Apartments and along the iconic King's Staircase, creating the perfect backdrop for unforgettable wedding photographs.

The Garden Room can also be hired for events taking place during the palace’s public opening hours, offering the rare opportunity to enjoy an exclusive event space within a working visitor attraction. For further information, please refer to our corporate away day page.

Late extensions are available till 1 am, providing the opportunity to continue your event well into the evening.

Capacities and timings

The Garden Room can be arranged to suit a variety of event styles. Capacity and room layouts will depend on the format of your event, while hire timings can be discussed with our venue team to create an itinerary that works for your occasion. The Garden Room can accommodate up to 180 guests seated or up to 300 guests for a standing reception.
