Summer - Castle and gardens (01 April - 27 September)


Winter - Gardens only (28 September - 31 March)

We will be closed from 27 November to 02 December inclusive. We welcome the updated guidance from the Northern Ireland Executive that gardens at stately homes and castles can remain open during the lockdown. We had taken the necessary steps to close but we will now work to reopen our gardens on Thursday 03 December.

Stable Yard Shop

The Stable Yard Shop is temporarily closed until further notice.

The Hillsborough Castle Shop in the Weston Pavilion is open.

Stable Yard Tea Room

The Stable Yard Tea Room is temporarily closed until further notice.

 

Hillsborough Castle Village entrance

The entrance to the castle grounds via Hillsborough village is closed to everybody.

All other access is via the Weston Pavilion (entrance just off the A1. Please check our Getting here page for more information).

A group of visitor enjoy a wander around the Granville Garden in the grounds of Hillsborough Castle on a warm Summers Day. The open iron gates of the garden are visible in the foregrouns and a blue clouded sky above is in start contract to the bright green of Europe's largest rhododendron, also visible behind the garden.
