Tickets from 03 January to 03 March 2022

We advise pre-booking your ticket and arrival time slot online before you visit to avoid disappointment. You will not be allowed to enter the palace without a ticket. The duration of your visit is not restricted in any way.

An admission ticket includes access to all public areas of the palace and gardens including:

  • Victoria: A Royal Childhood
  • The King's State Apartments: The King’s Stairs, The King’s Gallery, the Presence Chamber and the Privy Chamber 
  • The Queen's State Apartments

From 01 October 2021, the King’s Drawing Room, the Cupola Room and Queen Caroline’s Closet will be closed for maintenance work. The Red Saloon will be open, however scaffolding may be in place throughout the room.

Historic Royal Palaces is the self-funding charity that cares for the Tower of London. We ask for an optional 10% donation towards our charitable work when you buy your ticket. How to get tickets you've bought online

When you buy your ticket online, you can choose to receive your ticket by email or by post.

Receive tickets by email or print at home

  1. Download your PDF ticket to your mobile for scanning at the entrance or
  2. Click the link in the email that we’ll send you and print out all your tickets

If you are not able to download your e-tickets using the link in your confirmation email, please show your reference number which begins 421xxxxxxxx to the ticket desk when you arrive and staff on site will be able to print your tickets for you.

How to get a carer ticket

Complimentary adult carer tickets can be obtained on the day of your visit upon presentation of proof of registered disability (such as a Blue Badge, Freedom Pass, DLA letter or PIP letter).

National Art Fund Pass holders

National Art Fund Pass holders are entitled to free entry to both the palace and Royal Style in the Making exhibition by presenting a valid Art Fund Pass on the day of their visit. We are not able to pre-book Art Fund members through the website but will admit them on the first available time slot when they visit, and they will not be separated from the rest of their party if they are visiting with people who have pre-booked tickets.
