For Blind and Partially Sighted Visitors

Hold the stories of the Tower of London in your hand and experience history where it really happened with the self-led audio described tours.

The tour is on a handheld push-button guide that comes with an accompanying map of the tour stops.

The tour is self-led and free of charge with a Tower entry ticket for Blind and Partially Sighted visitors and an accompanying carer. Complimentary adult carer Tower entry tickets can be obtained from the Ticket Office on Tower Hill on the day of your visit upon presentation of proof of registered disability.

Please note that there is a limited number of guides available, so for any group visits of more than 5 people, please get in touch at [email protected].

Where do I collect my guide?

Collect your guide from inside the Beefeater Shop, located on the right just past the entrance. Please show the staff your yellow wristband and ask for an audio-described guide.

Tour Information

The tour takes you around the highlights of the Tower, including the infamous Traitors Gate and the imposing White Tower. The tour takes around 120 minutes.

The tour includes instructions on how to use the guide, a list of stops, and each stop has directions, an introduction and description of the location.

Assistance Dogs

Trained assistance dogs are welcome inside the Tower. This includes medical alert dogs. We are happy to provide water on request. Please ask a Yeoman Warder for assistance in accessing the moat – dog bins are provided.
