The firing of cannons or artillery as a military honour
Update 14 December: In line with government guidance, the Tower of London will be closed from 16 December.
These special commemorative firings take place on the Gun Park located on the Wharf. You do not need a Tower ticket to watch them as they can be viewed on Tower Hill, however closer views will be available inside the Tower for ticket holders.
The Wharf closes at least an hour before the gun salute, and there is no access to parts of the Wharf during the set up and duration of the gun salute.
There may be more salutes depending on whether state visits are planned.
Gun salutes take place at 13:00 and are 62 rounds unless otherwise stated.
TBC.
Please note, the 13:00 Yeoman Warder Tour will be cancelled when a gun salute is taking place. Tours recommence at 13:30.
