Welcome to our palaces
9 April 2021. Following the death of His Royal Highness, there will be changes to opening hours for the gardens at Hampton Court Palace and Hillsborough Castle. For further information, please read our FAQs page
We are pleased to once again be opening the gates to some of the palaces in our care, starting with the gardens at Hampton Court Palace and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens. All our members and visitors will need to pre-book tickets and entry time slots via our booking pages.
Please remember to bring a face covering to wear in our indoor spaces, shops and cafes when they open. We can’t wait to welcome you and know you're going to have a great time.
Sites already open
From 31 March, our gardens and outside spaces will be open at Hampton Court Palace and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, with interiors hopefully reopening in line with government guidance, from mid-May onwards.
Opening plans for other palaces
Kew Palace will open from 4 June. We will shortly be announcing reopening and tickets on sale dates for the Tower of London, Kensington Palace and interior spaces at Hampton Court Palace.
We have a wonderful line up of exhibitions and events taking place across the palaces this year, and have planned these with your safety in mind.
We have produced this video so you can see for yourselves the measures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors at all times. Our fully trained team will be on hand to provide a royal welcome and to ensure the guidance is followed. We look forward to welcoming you back!
We hold the Visit Britain industry standard, 'We're Good to Go' for our sites which means we follow government and industry guidelines for social distancing and cleanliness and have completed a risk assessment.
Need further help? More information on reopening can be found in our Visitor FAQs.
