Gardens-only ticket prices

In line with the latest government guidance, our gardens will be open for local households to visit for essential exercise, Wednesdays to Sundays from 14 April 2021 onwards. Visitors should not travel outside of their local area and must comply with social distancing guidelines. Takeaway catering and toilets will be provided. Please bring a face covering.

To enable us to meet social distancing guidelines, we have limited the number of visitors on site at any one time. Please pre-book your ticket and arrival time slot online before you visit. Under 5s go free and do not need a ticket.

Dogs are not permitted within the castle gardens unless they are registered assistance dogs.

A gardens-only ticket includes:

  • Entry to 100 acres of world-famous royal gardens including our 18th-century Walled Garden, the Granville Garden, Lady Alice's Temple and the Lost Garden
  • Free car parking

Historic Royal Palaces is the self-funding charity which cares for Hillsborough Castle and Gardens. The 'with donation' price in the table includes an optional 10% donation towards our charitable work. By making this donation you are helping us at a time when we're facing serious financial challenges resulting from the Coronavirus. 

You can make your donation go further by ticking the Gift Aid box when completing your purchase. Historic Royal Palaces will be able to claim an extra 25% of the value of your ticket at no extra cost to you.

How to get tickets you've bought online

For tickets purchased online, you can choose from the following two delivery options:

Receive tickets by email or print at home

  1. Click the link in the email that we’ll send you and print out all your tickets or
  2. Download your PDF ticket to your mobile to show at the entrance.

 

How to book a carer ticket

Visitors are entitled to bring an accompanying carer free of charge. These complimentary adult carer tickets can be obtained on the day of your visit upon presentation of proof of registered disability.
