The Main Hall

The Main Hall is one of the most breathtaking venues in the whole of London. A place of feasting and revelry since 1622, this exuberant Baroque feasting hall remains in high demand for events to this day.

With its soaring neo-classical columns and magnificent painted ceiling, the Main Hall is a majestic setting for fabulous dinners and receptions.

  • Up to 380 guests for dinner
  • Up to 500 guests for drinks receptions

  • Available for hire from 13:00 onwards
  • All-day hire available on selected Thursdays: please contact us for more information

The Undercroft

With its cosy archways and snug corners, the Undercroft is as charming as the Main Hall is grand.

Originally designed as a drinking den for James I and his favourite courtiers to escape the rigours of public life, this atmospheric venue is perfect for all sorts of occasions, from intimate dinners to distinctive receptions.

  • Up to 120 guests for dinner

Hire information

As well as being a prestigious events venue, Banqueting House is a popular visitor attraction, which is open to the public between 10.00 and 13.00 each day.

We open our doors for venue hire seven days a week from 13.00 onwards, although we are able to offer all-day hire on selected Thursdays throughout the year. Please contact us for further information.

The service provided throughout the evening was first class and the comments received from my client and invited guests were exceptional. Banqueting House comes highly recommended.
