Teach the Six Queens Differently

More than "divorced, beheaded, died..."

For centuries, the six wives of Henry VIII have been reduced to a rhyme. But there's far more to their stories than how they ended.

We're taking a fresh look at these six Tudor queens and inviting teachers to go beyond the rhyme and help students explore the achievements, struggles and legacies of each woman in her own right.

Developed by the Historic Royal Palaces Schools Team, Teach the Six Queens Differently has grown from an ongoing collaboration with SIX the Musical, whose inspiration and support have helped shape the campaign — including six videos created with members of the 2025–26 West End cast.
