Six Queens Week at Hampton Court Palace

As part of our new Teach the Six Queens Differently campaign, our Six Queens Week invites students to walk in the footsteps of six women who were far more than Henry VIII’s wives.
Join us for a special week of schools-only events at Hampton Court Palace to learn more about the six Tudor queens.
Please note: Six Queens Week is a special event programme. During this week, our usual schools sessions and self-led visits at Hampton Court Palace will be paused to make way for this exciting programme.
What's on during Queens Week
KS2 Six Queens Exploration Days
Tuesday 6 & Thursday 8 July 2027
Students can learn more about who the queens really were and walk in the footsteps of each queen at Hampton Court Palace.
Students will develop their own views on the queens. They will consider the women in their own right, rather than just through their connection to Henry VIII.
KS3 Six Queens Exploration Days
Monday 5 & Wednesday 7 July 2027
Students will consider why there are different views of the queens before using evidence to create their own interpretations.
They will consider the women in their own right, rather than just through their connection to Henry VIII.
GCSE and A-Level Careers Day
Friday 9 July 2027
A unique opportunity for GCSE and A-Level Students to explore careers in history and arts, inspired by the lives of the six Tudor queens.
This six queens-themed careers day will look at some different roles throughout Hampton Court Palace that involve history and arts.
