It’s history with the nasty bits left in!
Location: East Front (open-air and seated directly on grass)
Duration: 1 hour
COVID-19 safety measures: Performances of Horrible Histories are socially distanced. Households and bubbles will be seated in clearly marked and socially distanced seating squares within the performance area.
The show runs for one hour and is an outdoor performance in the gardens so please dress appropriately for the weather on the day.
Umbrellas and folding chairs are prohibited as they may restrict the view for other guests. There will be cushions to hire onsite for the duration of the performance. Contactless is preferred as payment method.
Please note that performances on Wednesday 2 June will have a BSL interpreter.
Further FAQs will be uploaded closer to the event.
Please note we will go ahead with the performance in the event of bad weather, unless there are exceptional circumstances. We will make cancellation announcements as soon as possible, both through email to those who provided an address and via this webpage.
Immerse yourself in Tudor history as we reunite stunning works of art, gold, weapons, manuscripts and clothing from the Field of Cloth of Gold, Henry VIII's legendary encounter with his great rival François I of France.
