Interesting and challenging roles in a unique working environment
We offer a range of opportunities providing valuable experience and a change to develop knowledge and skill in a real and exciting working environment.
Our programmes provide insight into particular careers at Historic Royal Palaces and allow you to see behind the scenes of our magnificent historic buildings.
Our apprentice programmes consist of a programme of work experience and learning, together with ‘off the job’ learning/education, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.
We currently run apprentice programmes within Gardens and Estates, Front-line Visitor Services, Information Systems and Learning and Engagement. These typically offer up to 12 months of employment.
Our paid intern programmes typically last between 6 and 12 months and consist of a structured programme of work experience and learning.
Interns often work on projects and gain hands-on experience with real responsibility.
We currently have paid intern programmes in Retail, Conservation, Curatorial, Marketing and PR and Human Resources.
We are able to offer limited work experience placements at both the Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace.
These opportunities are focused around students in Years 10 – 13 from local community schools.
Historic Royal Palaces is an equal opportunities employer and we particularly welcome black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) applicants as we consider these groups are currently under represented both within the heritage and cultural sector and within our own organisation.
