Step into a spellbinding spooky spectacle at Hampton Court Palace this Halloween
Cloaked in magical spells and spine-tingling secrets, Hampton Court Palace is bewitched for the Halloween season as Historic Royal Palaces invites visitors to step back into the eerie embrace of Henry VIII’s haunted residence, all included as part of general admission.
From 25 October – 02 November, the palace and grounds will be rife with roaming spirits and otherworldly figures lurking in dark corners, welcoming brave souls of all ages to explore the historic site with immersive Halloween-inspired installations that unearth stories of the former residents of Hampton Court Palace.
Wander into The Wilderness for an outdoor trail where sinister inhabitants await in the Haunted Garden. Discover potions bubbling and the summoning of spirits in the Wise Woman’s Hut; tread carefully past the wandering eyes of glaring gargoyles and crumbling ruins – a harrowing haven for bats and creepy crawlies – and beware the skeletal horse and carriage, whose spooky riders keep eternal watch.
Venture inside the palace, where the twists and turns of the shadowy corridors will lead to chilling encounters with the ghosts of Henry VIII and Oliver Cromwell. Walk into The Spider’s Lair where a tangled web of cobwebs and cocoons await in the depths of the palace’s wine cellar or listen to Halloween Storytelling occurring daily in the Guard Chamber of William III's Apartments.
With atmospheric projections casting mystical illusions and ghost detectors on the hunt for prowling ghouls, Hampton Court Palace becomes the ultimate setting where history, magic and the supernatural collide for a truly spellbinding Halloween adventure this October.
