Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is a royal charter body and registered charity. Our registered address is Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, KT8 9AU and our registered charity number is 1068852.
Our mission is to create a world where everyone can explore and connect with the past, present and future. As a charity, we are committed to preserving and sharing the stories of our six magnificent palaces (Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens) and making them accessible to all. Through partnerships, innovation and storytelling we strive to break down barriers, inspire curiosity and stir the spirit in people of all ages.
What these terms apply to and other terms that might apply
These Terms and Conditions apply to Historic Royal Palaces Members’ Week activities in 2026. Please note, when you purchase a membership, membership voucher, or book a member ticket for Historic Royal Palaces, or visit our sites as a member, you will be subject to the terms and conditions of Membership, found at Membership Terms and Conditions | Historic Royal Palaces.
Eligibility
The additional benefits and the prize draw arranged as part of Members’ Week (19 – 27 September 2026 inclusive) are available exclusively to current, active Historic Royal Palaces members only. A valid membership card or confirmation email must be presented when redeeming in-person benefits. A photograph or photocopy of your membership card will not be accepted. We may additionally ask for a form of identification.
Benefits
In addition to standard membership benefits that all Historic Royal Palaces members enjoy, members will be provided with additional benefits specific to Members’ Week, 19 – 27 September 2026.
Visit with friends and family for half price
Members are able to purchase half price general admission tickets from our palaces for visits during Members’ Week. This is limited to a maximum of 2 half-price tickets per adult member per day. The offer is valid for full-price general admission daytime tickets to the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens. The half-price ticket offer can be redeemed on the day of your visit by presenting your valid membership card or membership confirmation email at our Ticket Offices (we may ask to see ID). This ticket offer cannot be combined with any other ticket offers and is not available in advance. This ticket offer does not apply to Members-Only events during Members’ Week.
Discounts in our shops and cafes
During Members’ Week, members’ standard discount of 10% will be increased to 20% in our shops, cafes and restaurants, including our online shop. This discount does not apply to alcohol and may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. Further exclusions may apply and these will be notified to you in our shops (including our online shop), cafes and restaurants.
Members-only events
We will run additional members-only events during Members’ Week and these will be subject to the standard Membership Terms and Conditions | Historic Royal Palaces applicable to all other members-only events.
Discount for Kew Gardens
During Members’ Week, members’ standard discount of 10% off Kew Gardens general admission tickets will be increased to 20%. A valid Historic Royal Palaces membership card or confirmation email must be shown at the entrance.
Discount for the Tower of London River Tour
Members will be offered 20% off standard tour tickets when booking tours during Members’ Week, using the special discount code provided to Historic Royal Palaces members in their members’ magazine, Inside Story, and via email.
Discount for the Mitre
During Members’ Week, members will receive 10% off rooms, food and beverages. The 10% discount can be used for a hotel room and for a meal at The Mitre during the same stay. To redeem, please call to book on: 020 8979 9988 and present your valid membership card upon arrival.
Members’ Week Prize Draw
Lead adult members who visit the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, or Hillsborough Castle and Gardens at least once during Members’ Week (19 – 27 September 2026) will be automatically entered into a special anniversary prize draw. Entry into the prize draw will be completed automatically when a member’s membership card or membership confirmation email is scanned at our palace entrances.
The winner of each prize will be selected at random using an automated process and contacted via email to the email address associated with their membership account by 09 October 2026. Further arrangements will be made by email. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize by 31 October 2026, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. Historic Royal Palaces does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
The prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable and are only provided to the lead member of the memberships randomly selected in the prize draw.
Historic Royal Palaces’ decision in respect of choosing the winner and of all other matters regarding this competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Historic Royal Palaces reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions.
There are eight prizes to be won, the details of which are set out below.
The prize will be sent to the winner by post or email within 30 days of being notified of their win.
Personal data supplied during the course of this prize draw will only be processed in accordance with our privacy policy which can be found at Privacy and cookie policy | Historic Royal Palaces.
HRP must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation we will send the surname and county of the prize winners to anyone who emails [email protected] within one month after the end of Members’ Week.
Winners may object to any or all of their surname, county and winning entry being published or made available. To object please contact us at [email protected]. In such circumstances, HRP must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
The prizes are:
Private tour of your choice of Historic Royal Palaces site with a guide (for up to 6 people)
The prize is an exclusive 60-minute tour led by an expert guide, at the site of the winner’s choice from the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, in areas open to the public during general admission hours. The time and date of the tour will be arranged with the winner based on the availability of our guides, and the tour must take place within 6 months of the prize being awarded. Please email us with any accessibility concerns at [email protected] prior to the tour. If the tour is cancelled for any reason, Historic Royal Palaces will offer one opportunity to reschedule within the same time period.
Private Hampton Court Palace rooftop tour (for up to 6 people)
The prize is an exclusive 60-minute rooftop tour of Historic Royal Palaces led by an expert guide. The time and date of the tour (within opening hours) will be arranged with the winner, and the tour must take place within 1 year of the prize being awarded. The rooftop tour is not suitable for children under 12 years old. Please email us with any accessibility concerns at [email protected] prior to the tour. As is standard with rooftop tour cancellations, if the tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, the group will receive a 90-minute palace tour instead. The palace tour will be conducted by the tour guides on the same day and time that was arranged for the rooftop tour, in place of the rooftop tour. If the tour is cancelled for any other reason apart from inclement weather Historic Royal Palaces will offer one opportunity to reschedule within the same time period.
Retail bundle worth over £100
The prize is a selection of children’s books, clothes and toys from Historic Royal Palaces’ retail range, worth over £100.
Orangery afternoon tea (for 2 people) or meal for two at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens café
The prize is an afternoon tea (not including alcohol) for two people. The winner can make a reservation on any day the Orangery restaurant is open to the public before 28 February 2027. If the winner is not able to redeem this prize before that date, no exceptions or extensions will be offered. If the winner prefers, an alternative prize of a meal for two people capped at £59 per person (without alcohol) can be arranged at the Hillsborough Castle and Gardens café before 28 February 2027.
Tower of London River Tour tickets
The prize is 8 tickets for a standard Tower of London River Tour. All tickets must be utilised on the same tour. The prize is not transferrable and has zero cash value. The winner will be able to redeem this prize on any date with availability until 28 February 2027. A one-night stay at the Mitre
The prize is a one-night stay for two people including breakfast at The Mitre, Hampton Court. The prize is subject to availability and valid until 28th February 2027. The winner is to claim their prize by e-mailing [email protected] at least 72 hours before their preferred date of stay. SIX tickets
The prize is a pair of tickets to see SIX the Musical in London. The winner will be provided with a voucher that is valid for Tuesday-Thursday performances (excluding school holiday periods) until 31 January 2027.
A bottle of Royal Salute 21 year old Signature Blend
The prize is one bottle of Royal Salute 21 year old Signature Blend Whisky, provided by Historic Royal Palaces’ partner Chivas. The member randomly selected as the winner of this prize must verify they are over the age of 18.
How we use your data
When you apply for membership, while you remain a member and for a certain period afterwards, we will retain your personal data. This includes your name and address to fulfil the membership services to you and for our own analysis, in accordance with our Privacy Policy which can be found on our website here: Privacy and cookie policy | Historic Royal Palaces.
While you are an active member you will receive essential communications about your membership – by post (including your renewal reminder letter) or email to fulfil your membership subscription.
You can unsubscribe from receiving membership communications by email or by post. To do so, please use the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of our emails or email [email protected] We may still contact you concerning the administration of your membership.
Law
These terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with English Law, and any claim brought under the Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
