A quiet session aimed at children and young people with Autism, and their families and carers.
Updated 25 March. In line with Public Health England guidance, we have taken the decision to close all six of our palaces and gardens until 31st May. We will be reviewing this and will keep you updated. Please read our statement for further information. Read our statement
In light of recent Government advice, The Magic Garden is closed and our Rise & Roar sessions are cancelled until further notice.
Join us for a quiet session in The Magic Garden at Hampton Court Palace, aimed at those living with or caring for someone with Autism, or those who have any other sensory needs, and their families and carers.
During this session, we will be permitting fewer people than usual and making adjustments to the experience of visiting this unique playground. We hope these changes will enable you to enjoy the Magic Garden alongside others who understand and empathise with the challenges faced when trying to plan an activity or day out.
Those attending the session will be able to enter at 09:30 and the session will end at 11:00. The Magic Garden will be open to everyone at 11:15 and will therefore start to get busy very quickly. Your ticket will only be valid for that date and time stated.
Tickets will also enable you to enter the maze (open from 10:00).
Each group member, including our valued Members and those aged under three years, must have a ticket.
Tickets will be posted with an event letter. Supporting information will be emailed.
Up to three infant tickets per booking are permitted (up to two infants for joint and individual members).
No more than one carer permitted per group and one booking per person/membership. For family 1A and Family 2A (or Group) the number of tickets issued will be for those named on the membership account only. Membership card must be shown upon arrival.
Adult child ratio of 1:5.
Please refer to the full FAQs in order to plan and get the most from your visit.
The Magic Garden is a unique, interactive play garden, inspired by the history and stories of Hampton Court Palace.
Built on the site of Henry VIII's former tiltyard, the garden includes a range of exciting elements for children and families to explore: from tiltyard towers and aerial walkways to a dragon, a mythical beasts' lair, a huge bejewelled crown and an underground grotto.
