These activities take place in the Clore Learning Centre. Please meet in the Stable Yard.

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

For families with children aged 5+. All children must be accompanied.

Join us for festive family fun this Christmas at Hillsborough Castle

Celebrate the festive season with family-friendly activities, including arts and crafts, storytelling, dancing and music, inspired by the theme of the 12 days of Christmas.  

Christmas arts and crafts

Get crafty with our art facilitator and make yourself something wonderful to take home.

Festive Storytelling

Enjoy some festive and traditional tales of the season with renowned storyteller Liz Weir.

Georgian dance workshop

See ladies dancing and lords a’ leaping this Christmas and prepare for your own Twelfth Night ball by practising some Georgian steps with our expert dance tutor.

Drumming workshop

Join our '12 drummers drumming' this Christmas and participate in this fun family workshop run by drum circle facilitator Joe Loughlin. No drumming experience necessary!

Enjoy the 12 days of Christmas and meet Father Christmas himself on a festive tour of the house led by a costumed Explainer.
